Fees

The trading fee is calculated as: Trading commission = position value * funding rate.

Users are divided into 17 levels from 0 to 16. When using GT at the initial 0 level, the rate for the maker and taker is 0.09%, without them - 0.1%. Then, depending on the trading volume, the level increases and the fee rate decreases. From the 10th level, the commission for the maker is 0%, for the taker at level 16, the fee is 0.02%.

Rules for applying trading fees for spot trading:

• If there are Points on the spot account, then by default these Points will be debited to pay the trading commission.
• If the GT token debit function is enabled, then Points are not debited.
• If you do not have enough Points or GT, then the VIP tariff is automatically applied.
• If the VIP tariff is applied, then Points or GT will not be deducted.

Futures Fees

Gate has the best premium fee across the network. The exchange has zero fees for pending orders, and there is also a chance to earn cfees.

For beginners, the exchange recommends using a Point card to reduce the fee to 30%. If the client is VIP11 or higher, Gate recommends using the default tiered rate.

The fee at the initial zero level for the maker is 0.02%, for the taker 0.05%. From level 11, there is no fee for makers. The minimum fee for the taker at level 16 is 0.015%.
